As the due date of the baby project arrives, we learn that Peter and Kitty's baby has been reduced to a charred mess. Flashbacks reveal how it came to be in Peter's care, and how it was damaged when Omega Red arrived at the Daily Bugle with the intention to get himself some revenge and some better press.
